Alma Uhr (1995) is a trained image designer and retoucher at Fotoskolan STHLM (2020-2022). She operates in both Stockholm and Gotland and is currently pursuing a remote Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Photography at Novia Jakobstad. With experience as a retoucher and assistant to photographer Helene Schmitz (2023), combined with extensive internships at Lotta Antonsson's studio (2022) and Moon Prints Fine Art Printing (2022) in Berlin, her digital skills have been further refined. Demonstrating an ability to distill the essence of each project and possessing a keen eye for detail, Alma works with the aim of equipping artists with the tools necessary to realize their vision.

In addition to collaborating with contemporary artists, Alma is deeply committed to the preservation and accessibility of artistic heritage. Her work has encompassed digital restoration and digitization of works by prominent photographers such as Lars Tunbjörk (2022) and Robert Nettarp (2021). She was also involved in the extensive digital restoration project of artist Axel Wallert's faded ceiling paintings in the corridor of Stockholm City Hall (2022), commissioned by the City of Stockholm. Furthermore, she has undertaken numerous commercial assignments (2016-present) for significant clients, which have enriched her portfolio and expanded her expertise.

Within her own artistic practice, Alma experiments with and challenges her digital skills by working across technical boundaries. Analog photographic and traditional methods are juxtaposed with contemporary digital techniques, in an ongoing pursuit of novel perspectives and a linkage between the past, present, and future. Alma's work delves into questions of time and space, exploring the raw emotions that shape our existence.
